A Licensed, Experienced Professional Here to Guide You
My name is Virginia "Ginger" A. Poag, LCSW, CEMDR, SEP. I am a licensed clinical Psychotherapist, Trauma Counselor, and Professional Consultant with nearly 30 years experience in the mental health and addiction fields. In addition to my private practice, I have also worked for several world-renowned private treatment facilities across the U.S. as a Trauma Therapist, and Counselor. While I am well-versed in many forms of therapy, my current career focus is on the treatment of trauma victims, adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse, individuals with PTSD, victims of narcissistic abuse, and individuals who suffer from mild, moderate and severe anxiety disorders.
I am also a published author, having written for both the professional field as well as the academic field; my work has been incorporated into the Social Work curriculum of several universities, both within the United States, and internationally. In addition to helping individuals and families in the immediate aftermath of numerous mass shootings, I have treated survivors of terrorist attacks, on both a domestic as well as on an international level. I am also one of only approximately 5,000 clinicians formally certified in EMDR therapy, and one of only 1,500 EMDRIA-approved consultants, worldwide.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University, and a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University. I am also a lifetime member of Psi Chi, a nationally-recognized honor society for psychology.
I genuinely enjoy helping people, and have both the tools and the experience to help guide you through the healing process. If you have any questions, please contact me via the link below.
